Charlie’s Journal - Day 127
Day 127 - What in the blue hell is going on out there? So Pam and Bill (I’ve learned plenty of “Human” since being here) have been jumping around out in the room a lot lately. They’re holding some weirdo white stick in their hands, and there’s this white box near my tank that has this big blue light on it.
I thought they were just watching the TV, but they seem to be playing with it. They keep speaking another version of “Human” too… it’s the word Oui or something. It wouldn’t make sense for them to say “We” this much, would it?
Anyway, it fun to see them out there a lot… it livens up the room to say the least. ![]()

Charlie’s Journal - Day 105
Day 105 - It’s been nearly two weeks since I last wrote. The water is cleaner, I’m feeling healthier and it’s been a lot warmer, just like I like it. There’s been a lot of commotion out in the world lately. The female continues to work on the computer a lot, apparently she has a big project to do. The male helps occasionally, but he’s been in the den a lot. I’m not sure what he’s been up to, since I don’t have a proper view of that room.
They’ve also been home a lot, which is nice. I like being able to watch them. Oh! They brought in a ton of food the other day too, which I haven’t seen them do in a while. I supposed they are planning to eat at the house more often, but I’ve thought that before only to see them go out a lot.
And have I mentioned that blueberry muffins smell delicious? I realize I can’t eat them, but WOW do I wish I could try some of that.

Charlie’s Journal - Day 92
Day 92 - A couple of days ago, I don’t know where I ended up… but it was yellow… very very yellow.
Not the water!!! Geez… the room I was put in. All of the humans (there were 4) seemed kind of skittish, like there was some sort of danger around. Sure the weather was bad, but I didn’t think it was awful. Then again I’m insulated here in the water, and I didn’t have a good view of any windows.

Charlie’s Journal - Day 76
Day 76 - Uh, so what’s the deal with the frogs in my bowl? There are four bug-eyed freaks on a toad stool, and they haven’t said a word to me yet, they’re just staring at me.

Charlie’s Journal - Day 72
Day 72 - I’ve decided to play a new game with the humans called “Splash The Human.” Whenever feeding time comes, and the lid on my tank is lifted, I like to do my best Matrix impression, flip around 180 degrees and splash the human feeding me.
Max score is 1000.
Anywhere on the human = 100 points.
Face = 250 points.
Eye = BULLSEYE! 1000 points.
So far I’ve accumulated 1250 points in two rounds, my first ever shot was a bullseye. I’m a natural, what can I say?

Charlie’s Journal - Day 62
Day 62 - The plant has moved, the plant has moved!!!
Evidently the humans decided I need a chance of scenery every now and then. At first, I wasn’t too happy about my plant being moved to one side of the tank, but now, I have to admit the place is better than it used to be. I have more room to roam around, but I can still snuggle up in the plant when I feel like I need a moment or two of rest.
Other than that, the tank is nice and clean again. Not that it was overly dirty, but it’s always nice to have a fresh, clean tank where I can blow a new bubble nest. Oh yeah, and I got bloodworms yesterday… mmm mmm mmm.

Charlie’s Journal - Day 49
Day 49 - Uh, helloooooo it’s getting a little dirty in here.
Life outside has been interesting lately, the two humans have been in my room a lot the last few days. They’ve been watching a bunch of TV, and the female has been on the couch way more than usual. I hope everything is okay. A couple of days ago I went quite a while without any food, and when the large one (male), fed me, I literally attacked my food.
Mmm. I love those Hikari Bio-Gold pellets! It’s the crunchiness that makes them so good. Don’t get me wrong, I like bloodworms too and have fun “hunting” those when I’m treated to them, but on a daily basis I look forward to my Hikari pellets.
In other news, I made the biggest bubblenest yet. A new personal record is always a good thing. I also heard a rumor that I might get a large tank down the road, I’m not holding my breath. Hahahaha.

Charlie’s Journal - Day 42
It’s been a while since my last entry, but I’ve been very busy lately. After my tank was freshened, I again tried to dig my way out, but to no avail. I did it more out of boredom than anything else. The food has remained high quality, and I’ve decided to try to nip the fingers of the humans that continue to feed me. The female gets nervous when I do it, hehehehe and she tends to just throw in the food. The male, however, doesn’t seem affected by my aggressiveness. In fact, he seems to like teasing me by poking his finger in the tank if I try to nip.
Needless to say I don’t bother jumping at him much. Other than that, life in the tank is great. I do my laps, munch on food and sleep in the tree. All with a grand view too of the hustle and bustle of a home.

Charlie’s Journal - Day 28
Day 28 - I haven’t written in the journal in a while, mainly because it’s been busy around here. I had to completely recreate my bubble nest, thanks to a freshening of my water supply. I’m thankful though. The water wasn’t murky or anything (I have friends stuck in dirty old vases) but let’s just say I have to poop where I eat, and after a while that’s just not cool. Fresh water makes me happy, even if it’s a little stressful getting in and out of the tank.
Speaking of that, those humans aren’t too bright. I realize I have a natural tendency to squirm, but I’m really not that hard to hold on to. How I ended up on a counter for a minute, I’ll never quite understand.
At least I got blood worms after that!

Charlie’s Journal - Day 17
Day 17 - I had a dream last night. It involved various females. That’s all I’m saying to keep it PG around this Journal, just in case anyone ever reads it. I’ll continue to blow bubbles for the bubble nest. If nothing else, it seems to amuse the two humans endlessly.
